StressMarq Biosciences Inc. is a Victoria, Canada-based biotechnology company specializing in reagents and kits for research purposes. Our highly effective reagents are available in over 40 countries around the world through a strong network of international distributors who sell our highly effective reagents to commercial and commercial clients.

Although there are other areas including post-translational modification (PTM) for methylation and acetylation moieties and antibody specificity, our core expertise is in cellular stress and ion channels and transporters. There are two areas of research. The field of cellular stress itself has a core focus on heat shock proteins (HSPs), of which Stressmark Biosciences is a world leader, but we also work in the oxidative stress sector. We are an outstanding company that addresses these areas by offering four different product lines – antibodies, proteins, ELISA kits, and small molecules.

Capturing all four provides researchers with access to the entire reagent toolbox they need for their research. These products can then focus on heat shock proteins 70 and 90 (Hsp70 and Hsp90). Examples include ELISA kits, inhibitors, and proteins (e.g., endotoxin-free formulations, rather than formulations rated as low endotoxin, where appropriate). This is the world’s most highly certified antibody that targets these two highly interesting targets.

Stressmark is usually the highest level of quality for reagent certification. Techniques from Western blotting (WB) to immunoprecipitation to histological staining techniques such as immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry (ICC) function as defined by us. Researchers know this, so they can use antibody products with confidence.

Also available are oxidative stress products, including the 8OHdG (DNA Damage) ELISA kit. For non-quantitative techniques such as immunohistochemistry, where target visualization in tissues is even more important, we also have specialized antibodies in this field. We provide these tools for ongoing research efforts, as well as new, cutting-edge research tools for new biological targets of interest. Also available is the world’s only alpha-crystallin ELISA kit (currently recognized as a tumor marker for breast cancer) and the heat shock-related factor 70 (Hsc70) ELISA kit. Our expertise extends to the relatively new field of antibodies and small molecules that target ion channels and transporters. The former include Nav, Cav, TRP, Kv, KCNQ, and HCN, and the latter includes EnaC, NCC, NKCC2, and aquaporin.
