Crotonaldehyde BSA Conjugate is used to study the impact of lipid peroxidation-derived aldehydes on neural function. Crotonaldehyde, a byproduct of oxidative stress and environmental exposure, forms stable adducts with lysine residues, altering protein structure and function. In the brain, crotonaldehyde accumulation is associated with mitochondrial dysfunction, impaired proteostasis, and neuroinflammation. These effects are implicated in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. The BSA conjugate facilitates the detection of crotonaldehyde-protein adducts in biological samples, enabling researchers to quantify oxidative damage and evaluate the efficacy of detoxification pathways or antioxidant therapies. |
